Petrol Spill! Help!

Stupid mistake, but a jerry can tipped over and some of the petrol spilt out into the back of my LWB Kombi.

Its penetrated the rubber floor liner and into the foam and has distorted the shape of half the mat.

The biggest issue is the smell. I've lifted half the load area and dried/mopped it out, but its obviously penetrated deep into the foam.

Life story over. Lesson learnt.

I am on the pathway of sourcing a replacement liner.... Anyone selling one?

Or is it worth trying to salvage it?

I think that you will be better of replacing it. It will give off vapours and will smell for ages. Probably best to take it out and let the vehicle breathe. If security is good at home leave the windows and doors open for lengths of time, see how it goes.
