Passenger Seat Change

If I change my front passenger seat from a double to a single do I need to tell my insurance company and can I do this my self, or do I have to do it with a registered converter.

It’s classed as a key modification. Not sure about needing a registered converter.

I think you only need to amend your v5, to represent two seats.

Obviously this will then mean you need to tell your insurance provider

Certainly doable as a one person job however the double is rather heavy and if like mine the seat lifts up for storage then lifting can be slightly awkward. I'd seek help if available.
