Passenger 'door open' sensor

I noticed recently that the interior courtesy lights aren't coming on when you open the passenger door on my 2016 T6 Highline and I noticed today that the door open mimic on the dash also doesn't indicate when the passenger door is open. The drivers door does show on the mimic and also triggers the interior lights so I'm pretty sure that the issue is somewhere on the passenger door. My question is, where is the door open sensor located? Is it in the locking mechanism or is there a microswitch somewhere else on the door? TIA

It's inside the door lock assembly.

Try some WD40 on the latch and give it a good wiggle.

Have a search on here for similar issues.

did you get sorted with this @Lighty ?

I now have the same issue! did the WD40 trick work?

Thanks!
Hello mate

No, the WD 40 didn’t work and actually made it worse (caused the microswitch to short so the van thought the door was constantly open and therefore wouldn’t lock or when locked with the key, constantly set the alarm off.) I ended up replacing the lock which is an ‘okay’ job to do in an hour if you’re relatively competent at fiddling with cars and follow the guides that are on this forum and are on YouTube

I have the same problem on my t6 drivers door
No interior lights working and it’s the only door on the vehicle that does not show as being open on the dash screen.
I changed the door lock actuator today hoping that would solve the problem but it’s made no difference ?
Any one got any other ideas to try ?
