Parked up for a year.

So I have had this van a year parked on my drive have started it once a week .well got the mot done the other day .drove van for first time today noticed cooling fan cut in quite quick about 5 miles is that normal??

Probably doing a burn off of deposits on the DPF - give the van a run out! It will thank you for it! A year is a long time to be laid up

Thanks so cooling fan wouldn't normally come on that quick?? Yes I will take it up the road aways

A lot of crud builds up when laid up. This is usually sorted out with a good run out. You might need to drive it “hard” - ie, high revving driving for a good 20 mins
