Painted wheel arch trims

Has anyone painted their wheel arch trims?
I’d like to fit some to my black van, I think they would look better than the black plastic.

I think you get the plastic arch covers and side trims in either black textured like the bumper or shiny black.
I fitted the textured ones to my T5.1

I’m pretty sure I seen gloss black ones when I was looking for them
Would save painting them
