Hi All.

As per title, I’m just on the scrounge for a T6.1 (not sure if T6 the same) front brake wear sensor plug and lead (as much as you can leave) if someone has just changed their pads, and can cut the plug and lead off the old pad before you bin them.
Reason is I’ve just received my Nutexa Big Brake kit for my 17” Wheels and the new set up/pads doesn’t use wear sensors. So…. in preparation for changing, ( to save me some time on the day) , I want to simply get an old plug and fly leads off a set of dead pads and short them together and heat shrink them up to ‘fudge’ the sensor so I don’t get a brake wear light on the dash.

Just pop in an envelope and I’ll happily pay postage and stationary costs.

Thanks in advance.

Can you not do it further up stream? So just cut the socket off and short that?
I did that on my old Mk5 GTi.

Try one of those brake & clutch repair centres, the ones that tell you your brakes need replacing when their 50% worn!
They must have skips full.

Yeah, I could, and did think of it, but I didn't really want to do that incase I ever sold the van and took the Big Brake kit off. Worst comes to the worst I'll do it on the day, and cut off the plug off my own pads, but just trying to save a little time.
time, and preserve my 'Good pads' for the future incase the OEM set up ever went back on.Try one of those brake & clutch repair centres, the ones that tell you your brakes need replacing when their 50% worn!

TBF I'm doing the job at my mates Garage (As soon as he's got his new Ramp Fitted), and as an ex MD VW Audi Master Tech/Instructor he does deal with a lot of Transporters, but typically, he's not had any in for brakes over the past few weeks. I'll "keep 'em peeled" every time I drive past 'Quick Fit/Brake Type Outfit' for any T.6's lurking on a ramp!!
