I need to replace my lower sliding door roller one one side, original VW parts re £180, are other aftermarket parts any good? Autodoc suggest a replacement roller for £25, from a brand called Topran, anyone had any experience of this brand?

At that priced I am tempted to do both lower rollers as I have twin sliding doors

Any advice welcome

Thank you

I put a 9 quid one on my T5 and a 12 quid one on my son's Caddy, both from eBay, and they're fine. Wouldn't be surprised if they were exactly the same as the Autodoc ones ...

I bought couple cheaper ones on Amazon due to next day delivery but all went back as they couldn’t hold weight of door.

I bought one from Transporter HQ at slight premium but works perfect and quality is same as OEM

Just wondering what is the best lubrication for these sliding hinges/track, please.
None. The bottom one has a sealed rs cartridge bearing and 2 plastic rollers. All you will do is attract crap onto them making them wear. Just keep the bottom track area clean and let the roller do it's thing.

I seen someone mention they have put strip of clear ppf to protect the paint work. I wish I did that when I changed the roller and painted metal work
