Odd Electrics

I am having something going on with my electrics. For about week the dash has been showing that I have a lighting problem with a globe blown indication on the dash but all lights were working. Four days ago the reversing camera stopped. I checked fuses and found one blown and replaced. Camera did not start working and blown globe light warning still remained on in the dash. Then the next day the indicators suddenly stopped working as well, with a fast blink/click but no indicator lights working and again no camera. Then the tail lights and brake lights stopped working.

I again pulled all the fuses I could get to and did not find any blown. Still nothing working then yesterday morning when i started the van, all the items above were working but it is now telling me that the traction control unit is faulty as is the diff locking light on and it is showing the ‘globe broken’ light on in the dash as well.

I guess my question is, has anyone else had anything odd occur with their electrics and second question is, how the hell do you get to all the fuses without pulling the whole dash to bits as the cover only gives you access to about 2/3’s of the fuses. Is there an easy way to access the lower fuses?

Thanks in anticipation

Garry

If you check the downloads section there is a pdf with fusebox diagrams and a list of fuse basic functions
You prob won't need to get to the lower fuses as they are mainly the heavier duty ones carrying bigger currents
What's going on sounds strange, as it's affecting multiple circuits my guess would be a grounding/negative/earthing problem which would probably warrant a trip to the dealer as they can be a real PITA to find
If you need any wiring diagrams etc let me know and I can send them to you

Totally agree with letting the dealer sort it out.

Booked in for next wednesday. Meanwhile I might pull the fuses again and see what happens. Given that I had all the roof lining out to put in the pop top, and wires running everywhere, I probably have accidentally earthed a live wire somewhere it up somewhere that keeps hitting metal.

The charts at least tell me what fuses do what equipment. I will start back with the camera as that was the first thing that cut out.
