We're looking at heading down through France to Northern Spain in May. We may aim for the Mediterranean coast perhaps in the Girona area. This is obviously a bit of a hotspot in terms of mass tourism, so we wondered if there was anywhere around there that would be a bit more off the beaten track? Near the coast would be great but we would consider anywhere quiet and authentically Spanish (as far as possible from an Irish bar!!)
