New van ordered

Hey everyone,

I've been perusing the forum for a few weeks. Currently own a caddy mk4 Highline, however I wanted something bigger so the caddy is going and I have just ordered a T6 T32 SWB Kombi Highline in candy white, standard spec as I was on a budget but very excited! Should take delivery during the first week of March:)

Have decided i'm going to have the dealer fit a few extras before delivery; eibach 30mm spring kit and sport line tailgate spoiler.

With regards to the spring kit, am I right in saying that the dealer should check wheel alignment once fitted? I'm assuming this should be part of the PDI also?

Welcome to the forum, In my experience it will be out from the factory and made worse by the dealer fitted springs.
I suggest you take delivery of the van, report it to yours sales guy and the workshop manager as the steering wheel will be off when going in a straight line.
Give it a few weeks to bed in then take it to a specialist and get a 4 wheel Hunter alignment done.
Keep the invoice approx £40-60 depending on how bad it is and claim i back from your supplying dealer.
My dealer was not geared up to do this properly and offered to take it somewhere to be done,
I saved them the hassle of trying to do it on the cheap and i know its done properly with a print out to prove it.
Good luck with your new money pit :thumbsup:

Depends how good your dealer and their tracking equipment is really, I've got Bilsteins going on mine, but I'm still taking it to my trusted local tyre place for a check.

Thanks for the advice.

The tailgate spoiler has been quoted at £305 inc vat fitted, although i should get some discount on that. That comes factory sprayed in candy white. I think they have black and silver straight from the factory, all other colours have to go to a paint shop first.
