Hello guys .

Tim here recently coming from a VW caddy in chestnut brown which I still need to get rid off. I am collecting a black Highline t6.1 Wednesday!

Very excited to get into a build as I hope this forum isn’t as dead as the Caddy2k one or ED38 became!

If anyone has any Kombi seat conversions … as in installing the rear bench I am all ears.

Pic of caddy for attention. IMG_2188_jpg.jpeg

Caddy... mmmmm :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Welcome and, no, this forum is very much alive and kicking.

Don't forget to post pics of your new ride. 👍

Cheers guys. Going well should have some pics Wednesday evening.

Then the scary part of ringing around asking for quotes for a seat conversion .

Yup, van porn still a thing. 🤓🍿

Cheers. Really pleased ! Needs a proper clean VWs in house clean department have left polish and marks everywhere.

Plan is :
  • Rear Kombi conversion - (vanworx style carpeted and trims)
  • Lowered - needs to be on the floor asap
  • Wheels - 20” on some rubber bands
  • Eventually black out the cockpit with the black California / Shuttle trims.

I look forward to following progress. 👍

I too am looking forward to seeing this progress. Will also look forward to your update when you switch to from 20” wheels with regards beer bands to 17” with a more comfortable sidewall. 😊

Looks a great bus. Personally I would Swamper it for the extra grip, height and comfort.

UK roads are no longer fit for 20" low rides IMHO. Also biased as my last van was a very cool Swamper lol

Whatever you do looking forward to seeing it.👍

Looks great, good luck with your build, what’s your plan? Camper, or Day Van? Look forward to your updates as the build progresses 👍

Will be Kombi MTB transporter as low as I can run it with out cutting stuff up.

Always driven a stanced car so lows aren’t an issue.
Was just joking with my comment about switching wheels/tyres. You build your van exactly how you like it and we will enjoy the build posts. 👍🏽

So update on the van.

Heater arm has broken and getting a new heated screen.

Been in comms with Bognor for a combi conversion build slot.

Anyone had theirs done there?

Where about in Hampshire are you mate?

Oli Paul and Simon at Bognor have done all of our work over the past 9 months and can’t recommend them enough.

Basingstoke ways emailed Bognor for the prices a while back! Very interested. Just not booking anything incase this warranty work isn’t sorted !
