Need a new alternator installed anyone recommend someone or able to carry it out?

Hi,

I need a new alternator fitted on my T6, I have a new unit and wondered if anything near buckinghamshire is able to do it or recommend/know someone who can asap,

It’s not charging at all so needs to be fairly local to High Wycombe as I can get about 40miles from when charging battery at home.

Any local garage should be able to do that...

How do you know it's 100% a faulty alternator?

Have you already got a replacement?... There are a few different ones that it could be?

Lin bus cable fault is a common alternator no change issue.

I have used Autobarn | VW, Audi, SEAT & Skoda Garage in Buckinghamshire in Hyde Heath a couple of times now, and have been happy with their service.

Others here have used Independent VW Group Garage in High Wycombe | Revolution VW in Little Kingshill.

I am only getting 11.5V coming out of it from main stud after a crossed jump start. I had a previous thread about this.

I’m hoping after giving my plate to wholesaler that it’s come back with correct one: as a couple other places II tried didn’t have one. it does have the Lin bus connector.l
