You can stay overnight in the Sticklebarn (Langdale) and Aria Force car park (Ullswater) for £10 a night, both have the toilets available to use, you can pay at the ticket machine.
Sticklebarn Barn is on a bit of a slope so get in early to nab the flat spaces at the bottom.
Ps, I haven’t stayed there but I drive past them most days.

According to the National Trust website Visiting Aira Force: What you need to know
the toilets are closed at night.
On another National Trust site it says that camper vehicles are welcome in the Lake District car parks but not if there are people sleeping in them!
Just maybe they are turning a blind eye to overnight campers.
Give the NT another couple of decades and they’ll drag themselves into the 21 century.
I normally turn up late and leave early stopping overnight in a lay-by between Aria Force and Pooley Bridge. Most of all leave no trace.
