My First T6

So I have bought my first T6.

2017 Acapolco Blue Kombi T32 150 6 Speed

Recently sold my motorhome and ordered a caravan so needed something big enough to pull it about comfortably.

Will also be the Mrs daily. Fits the bill perfect with all the space, great for family days out!

Pretty much standard when we got it except short flaps and little splitter, but got some plans to make it a bit nicer and more refined.

The first thing to get sorted out was a full service, timing belt and water pump change. With an unknown history this provided a bit of peace of mind.

Also got the apply car play activated and new maps for the sat nav as the SD card was missing. Big thanks to Yorkshire VAG Solutions doing this remotely and saving a packet on what VW charge! Why this isn’t done as standard is completely beyond me

Next step was to get the Westfalia detachable towbar fitted. Easy enough job and came with all the fixings required and decent enough instructions. Still need to get the foam infills to fully support the rear bumper, but ever needed the additional bracket as advised in the instructions. I am told this is because it is a factory Kombi.

Unfortunately my van didn’t have the factory towbar prep, so full wiring harness needs fitted and adaptions done using VAGcom.

Awaiting new laptop arriving to run VAGcom on then will get wiring fitted. I opted for the full OEM 13 pin option as I will be using it to pull my touring caravan.

The towbar and wiring kit came from PF Jones, excellent service and a decent price! Couple of pictures to show with and without the tow ball fitted still keeps the clean look on the rear end.

I have noticed that there isnt must space between the ball and bumper, but hoping that this will be fine and give enough space for the Alko Stabiliser hitch.

Few other things in the pipeline but will update with those in due course.
