I replaced my standard one with a genuine folding one and the rake is the same.Question if I may ?
Does the OEM folding double front seat have the 10% increase in seat back position or is this only achieved with the various aftermarket brackets.

Can you remember how many washers you used?Following a suggestion from @BognorMotors I’ve added some m10 washers under the front edge of the seat base. It has made a nice difference to the comfort of the passenger seat.
vw t6 floor pan captive nuts ?
guys iv removed the single seat and replaced with a double passenger , lifted the mat and there are holes but no nuts in the floor pan how do I get over this? is there a way to install from under the floor pan . cheers stewwww.t6forum.com
Thanks - that gives me something to go on. NickIt will be trial and error because it depends on the washer thickness, but for me I put in 4 washers on each seat bolt which measured about 7-8mm.
You just need to make sure you’ve got enough thread showing through the top of the nut so it is still safe. There are four bolts along the front edge of the seat base so 16 washers did the job for me.
Wondered this myself, the standard looks like it was made to be folded or fixed, and judging by the welds used to make it fixed, if these were ground off, the pin would fit lower in bracket to give extra recline, then weld it back in reclined position. But i was too tight to pay £20 on ebay to buy used fixed bracket to try it. looks possible to me though, if i get a second hand one i will try. or if i buy the reclining folding one i will try on the one i take off.Anyone have an idea how you can recline the standard folding seat hinge.
I’ve searched and seen you buy a replacement hinge, but as mine is already the folding type can you mod it to give it a bit more recline?
Vancraft do a folding centre bracket that has a 10% reclined sitting position and folds flat forwards. easy to install yourself if you get the right tools for the seat bolts (amazon)Wondered this myself, the standard looks like it was made to be folded or fixed, and judging by the welds used to make it fixed, if these were ground off, the pin would fit lower in bracket to give extra recline, then weld it back in reclined position. I did buy one of them (vancraft) and fitted it a few days ago, if i have time one day i may grind welds off old one and reposition to see if recline is same. Cost was my original consideration, £165 vs a few hours of grinding and welding. But wasnt sure it would work (couldnt go without passenger seat while waiting if it didnt work out)Vancraft do a folding centre bracket that has a 10% reclined sitting position and folds flat forwards. easy to install yourself if you get the right tools for the seat bolts (amazon)
