Folding bench seat

Have any of you added the folding bracket to the front bench seat, keen to add a bit more of a recline and ability to fold seats.

My question is 5 degrees or 10?? How different is the seated position and does it impact on turning chair about.

I've been considering this for a while but also can't decide on the 5 or 10.

I have the rusty lee sliding swivel base which has spacer bars along the front edge but not sure they actually add any recline.

I fitted the 10° adapter in my van with a mobiframe quick release swivel base.

I would say the recline is really nice to have, it does not feel a massive difference but certainly has increased the comfort level massively
I think the 5° bracket would be too little of a difference to notice

One minor complaint with 10° is when swiveling the seats. Because they stick out more at the rear (due to recline) it makes swivelling a little tighter
You can partly use the fold if this is an issue though - I can manage fine without doing this

I have the full size base too not the cut down version

btw bracket super easy to fit

1000076771.webpThat's 10 degrees vankraft bracket and makes the front a much comfier experience. Very easy to fit, watch the YouTube videos and can't go wrong. If need any further info shout

We've got the 10° bracket and a standard height Kiravans swivel base. Comfortwise, even on a 300 mile day, it's excellent especially with an armrest/storage box where the middle seat should be (but there's only two of us so loss of the 3rd seat is irrelevant). At first, we both thought it was a bit high but we soon got used to it - I'm 1.85M and my wife is 1.68M. There's enough headroom for me and I'm used to looking down on her when she's driving but the extra height evens things out a bit for her when I'm driving.

Unsure if I need the folding bracket, but the recline is worth a try I think. Not that I sit there very often but I would have to listen to complaints from that seat 🤣

The height is also something that needs sorting out at some point.

The folding bracket part is great makes a good step for the pop top (make sure u fit a board to the inside as in the instructions) and a decent flat surface if u dont want to turn your chair around .However as a seat my missus hated it ! found the angle to be uncomfortable in combination with the actual height of the base.It got to the stage where I had to fill the bracket with weld and remachine it back to the old position so we could keep the fold flat feature!! Got rid of it in the end and fitted a captains chair so much better and nice to be able to get in the back without leaving the van :)

I find the folding bracket to be quite handy. It makes swivel seat easier, sometimes I just fold it to sit on instead os messing with swivel base. If using as a seat I would recommend the ply insert in back of seat

Folding bracket for comfort is one thing but I drive everywhere with seat folded. The view out of the sliding door window is amazing when at junctions. I keep stuff on there when driving. I like having a convenient table to write notes, write cards and wrap presents. When sat in the back having a brew you can see out the front windows. You can climb over from back to front to back of van without having to get out. You can reach to behind the seats to put stuff there whilst in the front. One thing that made it even better for me is that we have quite a big dog and folding the seat down and reversing the head rests means we can put his bed on it and he loves it.

Just fitted one to my T6, all good, apart from middle seat belt locks on because it detects seat is out of position, anyone know how to remedy this.I know you can fold the seat slightly and pull the belt out to reset. Any way to avoid doing this?

We've got the Kiravans swivel base and Vankraft bracket in our 18 plate T6 but have never used the centre seat - I'll have to check tomorrow and see if it all works properly.
