Maxton splitter

Has anybody got a maxton splitter in carbon fibre?
Not sure wether to go black or carbon, it's going on a white van

Many thanks

Yep, go to this other thread that discusses the Maxton. I put a reasonable descriptor on it.
Fitted both. Got the V1 on my van, and fitted the V2 on @ZipcodeUK 's van.
The profile of the "lip" on both the V1 and V2 is identical. The difference is the upper profile where it attaches to your bumper.
The V1 has what I relate to as "fingers" which give a number of raised profiles in the centre section of the splitter. It is through these fingers that you bolt through to the bumper.
The V2 does not have these, but one long raised profile along the centre section. The edges where the splitter wraps around the side of the bumper are again identical.
There is a picture of mine on page 5 of this thread but it is difficult to see the finger profiles. If you go back to the top of page 2, Amped has put a couple of website pics up which enable you to see the difference a bit clearer.
Good luck choosing.

@Tom Benn, if you click on the blue upwards arrow against where it says "DaveyB said" on the quote, it'll take you to the other thread.

Hi, splitter looks great.
Does bumper need to be removed to bolt it on?
Thanks in advance.
No, I have fitted two without the need to remove the bumper.
However, I highly recommend undoing the screws holding the front of the wheel arch liner to the bumper to give you a bit of access. There are then two or three screws on the underside of each of the front corners that you will need take out.
It's as fidelly as a fidelly thing and bolting through under the fog lights is particularly tricky. You'll scratch your hands a wee bit, but like I said, It's totally dooable.

Thanks for that, well done! I've just had a body shop tell me the bumper needs to come off to get to fixings!

I'm hoping to have a go fitting mine over the weekend. Got big fat hands so not looking forward.

As per my previous it is all easy till you get to bolt the two corners under the fog lights. Yes there is no doubt that taking the bumper off will make it a damn sight easier, however....
I equally have pretty big hands and by pulling the bottom bit of the bumper down you can wriggle a washer in to place over a slightly inserted bolt, then I used a ring spanner to hold the nut whilst that was slid into place. It took me about an hour to do mine, and then 45 mins to do ZipcodeUK's.

My biggest tip:- there is a load of nuts and bolts in the pack, way more than you need, and then 10 washers. I think I used five or six fixing points and doubled up on the washers per fixing so that they're is one on the underside of the Maxton, and then one on the upper surface of the bumper before the nut. Just added protection and piece of mind.
