Making sense of the Adblue Display.

Had the refill Adblue warning come up but I’m not sure I understand the dash display. It’s saying 1000 miles left. It also says minimum top up 2.25 Gal and maximum top up 2.25 Gal..!

So that’s 8.5 litres and if I have a 10l tub of Adblue and O don’t want to overfill it, what do I do?

I have a 2020 T6.1 T32.

2.25 gallons is a shade over 10litres

I usually run it to 800 miles and put 10 litres in.

This is just my opinion but it's based off past experience of adblue woes!
Just put 5l in.
Now wait until your van does a regen (be that a day, week or whatever) then check to see if the adblue range and required fill level has changed.
It's better to underfill than overfill with this transporter adblue system.
Post back here with the results after the regen.

Ok, so just changed the units to Litres in settings on the infotainment system. That makes things easier

Just topped up the Adblue on my van - It was suggesting adding 8.75 litres to 10.25 litres, (with 2200km before it runs out).
I added 9.7 litres following the fill procedure to the letter, and now back showing 9000km.

I always top mine up when the display says I can (to hopefully minimise crystallisation). 0.75G at 4000 miles to go.

I had this flash up as an error the other day then reset back to 1500 miles


Now down to 1100 miles so will need to fill soon. Traditionally I put in about 7/8s of a 10lt bottle or as much as I can before I panic too much about overfilling and have to stop. But never been sure of recommended fill value in litres which hasn’t helped

Just refilled mine, display said 1400 miles and top up 2.25-2.5 gals.
Refilled with a whole container of 10 litres and all good now.

See. This is a perfect example.
How can range show 650 miles then 1500 miles but both fill levels are the same?
Just shows how tempremental the adblue system is on these vans.
I'm sticking with just adding less than the minimum then driving until it regens before adding any more.

I would think so. Switched mine to litres so there's no doubt.
