Main dealer or Independent? Cumbria

A lot of discussions on this one,been quoted over £400 for major service,so, would we go main dealer or independent, And iif anybody knows and recommends.. somebody out there in cumbria,would be appreciated ..

My question would be whether your van is still within its warranty period. That would define main dealer or Independent for me.

If you are outside of your warranty I would be going the independent route, can be cheaper and can also be much better than VW direct.

Don’t forget VW dealers don’t have to keep a roof over their head, they have the financial muscle of a global giant behind them. Franchise or not.

As they say “You are only as good as your last job” the rule that most independents work by.

Some VW dealers it seems, don’t give two hoots.

I have used the local VW service Centre and on the whole I’m happy with their service and pricing.

Full manufacturers servicing should help my resale value next year
