Lining cab

I’m new to the group and am looking for advice on lining the floor of the front cab of my T6.1. It has a factory fitted rubber floor and I was contemplating lining it with the 2 way stretch carpet I’ve used in the back before adding a rug for bugs mat on top. Is there any benefit in doing this or is it just a waste of my time? Also is there any benefit in sound deadening/insulating the cab floor?

Definitely beneficial to add some sound deadening where ever you can get it.
All helps dull the road noise.
As for the carpet that’s a personal choice but think how thick that stretch carpet is?
