Light Switch Stuck...

Hi all. Been putting an ambient light unit in, but in the process of taking the light switch out, I put it back in to test it all and now can't take it out again. It's stuck, and so now I can't get the lower dash panel back on without loosening the light switch holder, plus, the fog light pull out on the switch now takes a good tug to stay on. So I've obviously upset something...
Anyone got a suggestion please?

I would guess the pins that lock it in place have not located properly, try giving it a good twist left and then right to see if moves/locates better before trying to remove it again
Is it the original VW light switch ?

I had a fight with mine when I had the lower dash out, lots of swearing and some trim tools definitely helped!

How did you do it mate? Can't get a ton tool in cos it's a barrel within a housing. Just frustrating

Did you have any luck getting it out? Im in a similar position.

I did in the end with sore fingers and lots of swearing. Trim tools can help if they're really thin but the push-shove-pull seems to work eventually.
