Hi All!

I’m looking for some advice around which battery to get for an under drivers seat leisure battery.

I’ll be installing a battery tray as per the link below for Skipton Car Audio. Any one else used this?
I’ll be installing a swivel base in the near future but not got one just yet.

Imagine it’ll need to be low profile so any recommendations / examples greatfully received.

Thanks,
Mike

I’ve used a battery tray very similar to that, with a Halfords HLB-800 AGM under the driver’s seat. It’s very secure.

Thanks! Did you fit the battery upright or on its side? I’m guessing if similar it was upright?

Was there sufficient clearance with the terminals etc?

Has to be upright, despite being an AGM. It says it can be tipped for short periods, but no more.

There’s clearance, but not loads. You need to make sure the terminals and wires don’t stick up higher than the battery top. I put a plastic red battery plate cover over the positive and used one of those rubber boots to cover the positive terminals to protect it.

Really appreciate that info, thank you.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I braved the cold.

The clearance is OK but the bit that gets close is the lever that adjusts the fore/aft movement.
