Left side sliding door mechanism - 16 plate T6

My sliding door recently went out alignment causing the mechanisms to not line up and close. I have adjusted the door and it now closes however there is still a drop at the rear. The rear mechanism that is attached to the door with the roller arm attached has been adjusted to raise it as far as it can go. Having sn individual much more savvy than me looking at it, believes it could be worn and thread integrity no longer up to scratch.

I can find the roller arm to purchase, but want to replace the adjustment mechanism aswell. This part I can not find anywhere.

Does anybody know of where this part could be purchased?

Hi @jezduncs316,

I have a similar issue and think I've found the 3 brackets / rollers / mechanisms on eBay. I'm waiting on the seller confirming they fit a left sliding door. All 3 together are £33. I called VW and they wanted £180 for the rear roller bracket and £211 for the lower roller bracket , didn't dare ask about the 3rd!

Did you get anywhere with yours?

So mine maybe be body work related and at some point had a knock. I'm going to get a specialist to have a look in the new year and hopefully it's a soft fix rather than a big welding job or replacement quarter 😅

I have been told to be mindful of the roller parts on eBay etc as can be ropey quality. Sometimes it's worth going genuine or at least higher end, to avoid early failure.

So, a wee update, I ordered the bottom roller from Just Kampers and the other 2 (really all 3, so have a doubler) from eBay. Was out of pocket under £90. just before I tackled the job, I noticed if I lift the door up at the rear and push it shut, it closed smoothly. Took my 6mm alan key to bolt on the rear roller (from the bottom) and tightened it until the hip on the door was close or level with the panel and threads were showing on the top of the bolt... All fixed! Didn't even need the parts. :p

What this guy did with the rear roller really -

Anyone needing a bottom roller, I have 2 spare.
