LED Headlight fault-code

Transporter HQ Headlights V3 Black DRL LED H7 and Headlights H1 Nightbreaker :

fitted these headlights in June 2021 they have been fine no problems at all. Recently I have been getting a bulb warning light on my dashboard occasionally. I took my campervan for its MOT yesterday and the garage said that the warning light was a common problem once the LED lights got older and not to worry about it. Is this a common problem?

Hi my friend: I don’t have an OBD reader. I have no technical expertise whatsoever

Would be helpful to know what the actual error is causing the bulb warning. Might be worth speaking to someone local to get a read.

Are yours the LED H7 with the canbus resistor you can place in the housing ? Do they pass MOT ok mine is in on Monday thanks

You would be really unlucky for to get hauled up for LEDs.
I’d chance it as they never check. As long as they work.

Mine passed its MOT. The MOT was done at the same garage that fitted the headlights.
I don’t know the technical answer to your question: i.e. does it have the canbus resistor which you can place in the housing? Sorry. I would contact Transporter HQ and ask. The warning light is still on intermittently all the lights are working and it passed its MOT. I just ignore it now and check the lights every month when I check the tyre pressures.

Does anyone have a link for LED headlight and drl bulbs that don’t give a bulb warning on the dash please? One that someone posted previously has discontinued can’t see anything with these standard bulbs, find myself checking they’re even on! Or should I just pay more and go to Halfords? Any advice would be much appreciated. Sorry if it’s already been answered, there are a lot of threads to read through.

When I picked up my new to me T6.1 conversion, it had just had its MOT (as a condition of purchase) . I found the attached lights in the dash. Can I assume that the MOT Garage took them out in order to pass the MOT?
