Can anyone who has fitted them with out Canbus error post me a link as its the final peice in jigsaw.

For some reason last two sets ordered threw up errors.

Im sort of worried my side lights are emitting too much heat. Can see marking on the metal but only when lights are on, as soon as turned off its not visible - cant work out it its something or nothing.

are you seeing a shadow from the pcb in the led lamps? Also, do your DRL Leds go dim when you put the headlights on?

I had problems with the cheapo LED side lights in Mrs Loz's smart where they got so hot it melted the crappy solder on the LEDs and some of the elements started to fall off so I replaced them.
 
The DRL's go off when headlights activate. Side lights are only ever on with main headlights as setting is on 'auto'.
 
Horrible orange glow is back for now :( just going to get @8balladdict to send me a pic of his lights and then buy his versions if ok.

Crickey, that's not good at all. You may need to keep an eye on that, won't take too much to distort the reflector at that rate.
 
My DRL's are also from this supplier and they are fine, so I believe its simple the location of the bulbs/design of light cluster.

Bought from ebay.

I have just bought these as another ebay member has had them fitted for months and no issues - they look to stick out further which is most likely the issue with the other set.

Cheers. I'll have another look in the morning, I was in a hurry. 1 worked other didn't, i guess polarity is wrong and filament works whatever!
Round 2 in morning lol ;)
 
Thats exactly it.

I think 5 or 6 of us have these DRL sidelights and all been spot on. Whilst the sidelights are not best suited I dont think the supplier is generally to blame.
 
Makes sense! I've bought the rest from the shop on here so will see what the sidelights are like once they arrive. Not to fussed about leds just want the colour temp to be whiter:)
 
Im interested in the interior LED's from shop but like you I am mainly after the white look.

@Pauly when you reckon these will be available? Also do you have pics of the white fogs installed?
 
I changed the courtesy/reading lights in my T5 to LEDs but found the light quite unpleasant so haven't bothered this time. Saying that, the other lights at the back are all LED and I'm happy with those
