Washer fluid is towards that side on a 6.1, basically in front of the coolant reservoir.
Had you recently topped it up? Sometimes the filling pipe can have issues. With a van your age I would think more likely displaced rather than perished.

No, I've not filled it up. I have just put some in to see if it pours out. It's pretty wet underneath. Where the edge of wheel arch lining meets a square plastic piece with 4 big holes. I think on T6.1 with LED lights washer bottle is black.
From this post you may be able to access the washer bottle pump area through the hatch to change the fog lights, might give a bit more of a view of what's going on and if the pump or pipe is a problem?
I recently had cause to remove the front passenger wheel thinking it was an ideal opportunity to explore access to the washer bottle and hopefully the "washer tube" filler feeding the top of the washer reservoir. I can confirm from this it is not possible to access the top of the reservoir only a small window allowing access to the washer bottle pump. I think the earlier comments were extremely helpful and the next step would be to remove the front passenger headlight. Is this an easy removal I see the top two fixing bolts are marked with coloured dot so are these fixing bolts tension or...
There's a good exploded parts diagram in the thread that might help too, I doubt it has changed substantially between T6 and T6.1 (but happy to be corrected)

Could put some pink screen wash in & see if the colour of the drip changes. Would give you an idea of the urgency of the problem if you could confirm it as screen wash if nothing else, before letting VW fix it either way.
