Around March this year found that I had a broken rear spring. CRS were able to fit me in same day and supply/fit new rear springs and adjusters to suit the previously fitted Koni Sport shocks giving a 50mm drop. At the time this was fine as I had no plans to make any further alterations to the van (spent enough, or so I thought!)

However, we’ve reached the decision that we’re never going to fully use the van as a camper, more of a day van with the option of sleeping when needed, so I’ve fitted coilovers to lower the van a bit more.
The van is set up as a camper, RIB 112 bed, low level furniture with sink, hob etc. The Koni shocks were paired with Eibach Sport Comfort springs and were fitted approx 5 years ago and have covered approx 19,000 mainly main road/motorway miles with no problems whatsoever. The springs combined with the weight of the van gave a 50mm drop, the shocks were supplied and fitted by CRS and are suitable for the lowering springs. The rear spring failed this year so were replaced with CRS springs and adjusters to keep the 50mm drop and have covered maybe 200 miles so are effectively new.
Koni Sport shocks, original VW top mounts and front Eibach Sport Comfort springs. £250
The shocks look a bit tatty but are fully functional with no leaks, top mounts all appear ok (77k miles)

CRS Rear springs with adjusters. £250
Covered approx 200 miles so as new

Spare Wheel. £90
Never used spare steel wheel and tyre fitted with Goodyear Cargo Vector M&S 215/60R 17C
