Kombi Middle Seat Belt Removal

Hello. I'm new to T6 ownership & the forum. We have just started sound proofing and carpet lining our 2018 factory Kombi. I want to remove the middle seat belts to get a neat carpet fit and then refit the seat belts. I'm a bit worried about removing the bolts in case they are fitted into a "loose nut". I can't see into the cavity. Does anybody know if the van will have captive nuts or does the bolt fit into a thread?

I think the nuts are welded...had mine out a few times..no worries

Thanks. The worry was that I'd have a loose nut rattling around the van forever.

As its a factory kombi they should be all welded in. If it were a van converted to kombi spec, the fixings would likely be loose.
