Kombi bulkhead removal

Hi everyone,

First post here, so 👋🏼

I’m off to collect my new (to me) t6 on Wednesday. It’s north of Manchester, I live in Cornwall. So once I’ve got the train up there, sorted the particulars and driven off I’ll not be getting up and back in a day.

So I’m thinking I’ll sleep in the van on the way back. Issue is, it’s a kombi with a bulkhead behind the second row. I’ll be removing it and selling once I’m back anyways as I frequently sleep in the van or carry longer stuff but my question is, what tools will I need to remove it?

I’m intending to take them with me and don’t want to look like I’m going equipped or setting up a mobile garage. Anyone know what fixings are used to secure it in place?

Plan is to camp at a mates place so I can leave it outside the van while I camp, then pop it in the back and head home next day.

Any advice very gratefully received.

Thanks,

Sam.

Firstly welcome!
I’ve had a few of these in my vans if it’s the plastic motexion we’re talking about?
They are usually held in with small self tapping screws so a Philips screwdriver will be sufficient.
You can always ask the seller to take a few pics of fixings just incase!

Thank you, I will ask the seller anyway. I’m not sure why but I was a bit reticent to ask, especially after a weeks asking questions, watching videos and photos and chatting.

I’ve not mentioned that I wanted to whip the bulkhead out, or that I’ll be pulling the sportline lower bumper off and won’t be fitting the sport line spoiler that comes with it. He seems so proud of the van and I didn’t want him to think I was gonna change it loads and sell all his hard work.

Silly I know but I’m always a bit scared of the little dance of negotiations when buying a car and this is the dearest one I’ve ever bought.
