Bulkhead removal

Hi All ,
Can I remove the bulkhead lip and the black bracket at the sides without removing the seatbelts on a T6.1?? Can the trim maybe be moved out of the way of the seatbelts

Ooof. Nasty job.

The driver side lower trim is removable but passenger side not really. M10 spline and ratchet required as above. Part of the bulkhead trim higher up is bolted in but lower down is heavily spot welded and also glued.

In my experience with mine, it's a nasty job to remove. You want seats out and all trim in way removed and nearby trim and glass protected with heavy dust sheets whilst using a grinder to dig it all out and then hammerite the ground areas.

Other options are limited, SDS drill with a chisel bit was a waste of time for me. A multitool with a suitable blade was absurdly slow and I gave up after three blades and less than one weld attacked. Metal is too thick for tin snips....

Yeah i remember doing ours and it was massively more hassle than I was hoping for. Like above - its gonna involve the grinder so remove as much possible and then sheet the rest over.

For anyone reading this in the future, an 8mm (maybe 10 - I forget) Allen key will fit in the seat belt bolts and work just as well.
