Should I put these panels back?

I’m starting to sound proof our Kombi, have removed the ply lining, but there’s also this grey card panel behind that, which I’ve also removed. Once I’ve found the sound proofing, would you put the grey panel back or just ditch it and put the ply lining back? It’ll be lined properly eventually but don’t have the time right now.

I used the 2 front ones in mine. Made rears ones as I wanted them a bit longer.

Thanks, I decided to put it back. I figured any extra insulation is not a bad thing!
