Hope to make good use of and contribute to the forums as much as I can.

Welcome aboard, are decided on getting something or deciding whether to take the leap ?

I've actually just put a deposit down on one, a T6 that has been 'converted' by Salop Vans. It used to be one of their demonstrators.
A question for anyone that might know (I will be calling Salop Vans to ask them as well) .. I saw the V5 today (buying from a local dealer) and I noticed it said No of Seats -3?
The van has 5 seats (2 in the front and 3 in the middle) as it has been converted to a Kombi style van with a bulkhead behind the middle row of seats
I would have thought Salop Vans would have had this changed when they completed the conversion? or is this a common occurence?
When I've been getting insurance quotes I've been saying it has 5 seats, and I can never find the correct model from the drop down lists. As far as I know it's a T28 SWB 150 BMT Startline, but a lot of online sites don't show this option?
Should I choose the closest?

Obviously not a factory kombi. Not a big issue if you go to the right insurer. I have a converted camper and factory kombi with additions and Brentacre insurance cater for each individual spec.
Suggest changing the V5 though. Its just something the dealers don't tend to do, Which i think is wrong.

It it was me..

1. If it has had seats added.. check that they are M1 rated/tested with a warranty from S.Vans.
2. Since their orginal Bebb bed(M1 certified) they have changed a few parts and suppliers etc.. therefore not sure if the M1 status stands?.
3. Get them to change the V5.. why can't they have that hassle regardless of ease or time required.. they have added the seats and selling it as a 5 seater then asked them to change it..
4. Remember insurance will insure, until they find a discrepency, that might be as simple as V5 and van isn't classed as a Kombi..

Open to be corrected..

Wish you the best of luck and hope to see pics soon.
