Just Kampers Insurance - JUST DON'T

Interesting to hear that they may be basically the same company, given I’ve just switched from Adrian Flux to Just Kampers - for £190 less than AFs renewal price.

I also found that Adrian Flux were somewhat ‘gaslight-y’ in what they initially told me when I purchased the policy compared to subsequent conversations I had with them later down the line. So not overall a particularly positive experience with them.

Now hoping all goes smoothly with Just Kampers!
Same company but different policy wordings, schemes and insurers.
Also different employees.

Decisions decisions. Insurance renewal time. Currently have a policy through Brentacre. Current policy is underwritten by KGM. Just Kampers have offered me a less expensive deal for an AXA policy. Renewal with Brentacre will be simple. Sounds as if a change could complicate matters.

Adrian flux flat out lied to me about what I’d said when asking for a quote and then refused to quote after I called them out on it. I’d avoid them like the plague.

Sterling insurance were the most helpful people I’ve ever spoken to, but wouldn’t protect my no claims

Adrian Flux and Sterling are the same company. Sterling is just a trading name.
As are Just Kampers who we insure with.
There are differences in policy wordings and products, essentially the same company.

Tried them all over the years, Flux/Kampers/CC&C/Comfort/A-plan Thatcham (now Howdens) Been with Howdens for the last 3 years with a KGM policy. Always answer the phone, speak English as a first language and the prices are competitive.

I got the opposite experience with Aplan/ Howdens - messed me around and had to chase them every step of the way .
A few years afterwards I gave them another go and everything seemed much better until I got the policy documents through where the cover was nothing like what I was told on the phone.

So I cancelled it and took my business elsewhere .

What gets me is the bloody runaround these people make you do.
They ask questions about this that and the other (no claims for example), they tell you if you lie they will know and you’ll have you policy cancelled, they accept it all then a week later ask for proof - yet they share a database with all this info in. Why the hell can’t they find the proof themselves rather than make us get a letter from a previous insurer and try to upload that to computer systems which can be clunky?
Is it so we think all these steps and processes are why we’re paying so much, despite never having made a claim in three decades?

Insurers don’t necessarily share claims information, especially with other insurers unless requested by the policy holder

The onus is on you to prove your no claim bonus not the insurer, that’s why you need to provide it.

Every insurer must provide you with proof of claims if you ask, once you have it send it to your current insurer. If there are no discrepancies with what you declared then happy days 😁
