Is this an ok price for a 2.0 TDI T28 Highline?

I found this van that hits a lot of the points I want, is it an ok price for age and miles etc?

£14,500 (no vat)

Well the plate doesn’t seem to belong to that van - comes up as a grey Citroen Belingo on the Gov website.
So in my mind, knowing little more about it other than its high mileage and the wrong plate, no.

That is bizarre!

First time I tried it said something like plate not recognised so I assumed I’d typed it in wrong, refreshed the page and tried again and got the Citroen thing.
MOT check shows it as Citroen when I looked too.

I was just banging on about how phones, databases etc. weren’t always right the other day as well!

Needs someone else to check to see what they get.

You typed in SX it's XS

But to answer the OP question, if a price seems too good to be true, there's probably a reason. On this case it's the 167,000+ miles on a 5 year old van. I would be wanting a very detailed service history

yes that is a high milage, presumably if the milage was substantially lower the price would be more though. Would you recommend going for an older van that had a proportionally lower milage?

Yes, mileage will have a big impact on price. But all of those miles in that short time (approx 40k per year) will likely be motorway miles in top gear so there's less wear on some elements of the van. A car / van that only does 4k in a year will likely all be urban short trips without getting out of 3rd gear or over 30mph that bring a different set of concerns in to play.

Service history is the main concern on any vehicle, only you can tell if a van meets your needs in terms of spec and price. Unless you have a very low budget or a very narrow set of requirements there are plenty of vans to choose from.
