Looking to buy. Is this a high mileage for the price?

Hi folks. Looking for a LWB T32 highline and seen a few around with decent spec. Didn't want to spend more than £35k all in so appreciate there will be compromises somewhere either on the spec or the mileage.

One is around 80k miles, '21 plate for £35k. Full vw service history. I wasn't sure what the average mileage is these days, but would you say this is an acceptable price/mileage?

Supply and demand will dictate the price, you can only look at what is available in your area, there won’t be as many LWB as SWB to choose from. FSH is one thing but make sure that it wasn’t on the extended oil service interval that many fleets / cheapskates use. The extended service period isn’t conducive to long term reliability.
I’m guessing 35K is the asking price, not necessarily what they’ll get.

Assume it's not just a van and has had a conversion?

well i asked for some money off but it was a flat 'no'. so i guess they know there's not loads out there. even a token £500 off could seal a deal so i never see the sense in that.

For perspective, other LWB's I've seen are around £33k ish / 50k miles, but normally lacking extra things i'd want doing styling wise (alloys, lowering etc).

Ooh 80k miles its nearly end of life 😛

Mine was a 2021 T30 SWB Highline (twin door) panel van with 100k miles (masses of history) when bought. But still I paid a heck of a lot less than £35k.

But it looks and drives stunning. In my opinion obviously.

I guess the lwb and t32 factor add a fair bit. It looks like it’s been well looked after

Depends how it's been lowered as to whether that adds value.
If it's got a set of 40mm lowering springs then it will drive awfully and you'll then have to shell out £1500 ish to get it lowered properly. So make sure you know what has been done to it exactly.
Similar thing with alloys. Only adds value if they are the exact ones that you want, otherwise you're accepting someone else's choice. Plus, they'll usually throw the cheapest crappiest tyres on at £70 a corner. Might as well buy the best van and then visit CRS for suspension and then get some nice alloys - even used off the forum for a decent saving.

Good points. Guess I’m trying to work out if the dealer is being ambitious with the price for the mileage it’s got!

I know this is a SWB, but same price, 2 years newer, better spec, the best colour and very low mileage.

I think this points to the one you've seen as being way overpriced.

NB the only reason that is still for sale is because it's a SWB - or it would be mine by now.

Oh nice. I'm after a grey LWB kombi but the blue is a cool colour for sure
