Is there any way to play m4a audio files on the VW Composite system?

Hi All,
Is there any way to play m4a audio files on the VW Composite system?
I tried using the FFmpeg utility to convert an m4a file to AAC format as I thought AAC is supported by the unit. However it still doesn't work - the file does not even appear in the library.
I don't want to convert to mp3 as I will lose quality.

I think you will need to convert them to .mp3 and play via USB, SD Card or CD. TBH, if you're only going to play it on the van system I doubt you would notice a drop in quality (if, indeed, there is any). An alternative would be to bluetooth the audio from your phone. Personally, I would prefer going the .mp3 route.
