Is my leisure battery dead

Hi,

Wondering if anyone could help tell me if my leisure battery is dead? My van doesn’t get much use over winter and I didn’t drive or plug it in very often. I have a solar panel but there obviously wasn’t enough to keep it going.

I noticed when I went to camp in December all power was off. Checking on my Victron app it showed the voltage had dropped to 11.5v.

I charged it using a battery conditioner and the battery will charge to 12.8-12.9v however it doesn’t seem to hold its charge very well.

The history in the Victron app shows it constantly cycling with the solar charging from 70-100% the below is over last 40 days.

I went camping on the weekend and the van was on leisure battery with the fridge and an external cooler running it didn’t drop below 70% but was only for a few hours this was with the solar panel giving it a boost!

Question is will it hold? I have two days camping at the end of the month off grid. What’s the best way to check/confirm? I tried getting a garage to do a battery test but they couldn’t with the solar panel hooked up.

If it is dead any recommendations for a new one? Do I just go like for like?

Included pictures of the battery plus the charger if it’s helpful. Also the health indicator on the battery is green but not sure how reliable that is.

As it has those green charge indicators at the top of the battery it’s most likely to be a flooded lead-acid leisure battery. These shouldn’t really be discharged below 50% repeatedly (12.07V). Your low of 11.5V is totally flat and may have damaged the plates inside the battery.

If you can disconnect the solar input, measure the LB voltage and watch it over 24 hours. It should hold charge over that time period, but if it doesn’t then I would replace it.

If you replace with any other type of bttery chemistry you will have to change the charging settings on your charger.
