Internal spare wheel carrier

Hi. At a later date I want to fit full ABT kit on my t6 and as you loose spare wheel under van for the exhausts. Dont really wanna loose wheel altogether and as in process of sound deadening and insulation, now prob be best time to work this out.....so my question is....Has anyone ever fitted spare wheel to inside side panel of there van. Was thinking of getting a carrier from an suv that has spare on boot and fitting that to side above wheel arch. Has anyone ever done this and can give some ideas?

It would take up a lot of room - what about a roof rack and stick it up there? (There is a genuine roof rack for sale in the FS section). Carpark barriers a consideration though!

Also, inside the van it would need securing robustly. The 4x4 frame a good idea!

Hoping to retain a sporty look. So if I can get something to hold wheel then fabricate it to fit and ply around it. We'll that's the plan anyway...
