Problems after recent EGR removal and delete Had constant coolant l loss so removed EGR and EGR cooler, on advise, great solved coolant issue, now getting intermittent problem of losing revs and struggling to keep van going to revs going really high and van launching forward, no warning lights, problem not there all the time could be 200miles before recurring, problem usually clears back to normal within upto 15 mins driving.
Any help with this will be appreciated

For the engine to run at high speed without applying the accelerator it suggests that excessive fuel, lube oil or some other flammable chemical is entering the combustion chamber.
Have you checked that the crankcase oil level isn’t too high?

Was the engine oil dropping, did you need to add oil?
EDIT: not sure if your van engine type has an intercooler, if the engine has been consuming oil it can get trapped in the intercooler and occasionally a slug of it carries over into the induction. You can drain the intercooler by removing the bottom air hose and jacking the van so that the open end is at the lowest point, it takes some time to drain.
