Interior Lights Dim - Bulb Upgrade Or Additional Lights?

Hi,

I have one in the front and one in the rear of my kombi and they are very dim!

Can I simple change the bulbs for LEDs or a higher wattage? Or is it easy to add another light in sequence (would check the wiring professionally) or do people generally swop them for LED lights? I am going to insulate the roof so the hardboard will be coming out anyway.
