Interior light timings

When my van is unlocked & have the barn doors open or sliding door the vanity lights seem to stay on for different lengths of time time . Sometimes 2 mins sometimes 10 . Is there a reason for this? Do certain doors trigger the lights longer than others? . & also will they always go off if you was to leave the doors open? Cheers
