Insurance on a caddy for first vehicle

I can't understand why its cheaper to have possibly 5 occupants in a car/van same vehicle than only having 2 occupants in the same vehicle , but classed as a van. That what i don't get. The black box doesn't really concern me as it will make sure he's a good lad, but i was just showing the difference. For the girls cars it was only £300 more expensive so I paid the extra, for me really so I didn't bugger up there insurance when I drove it.

As I said earlier. Vans driven by young lads tend to be companies vehicles, therefore ragged to death with very few shits given and end up upside down in a ball of fire. That affects the algorithms and puts them as high risk.

Dose of reality!

I get your point and I agree, but the point i was trying to make is because its got windows and extra seats it cheaper to insure. It's like ulez, because mines a caravelle it can go in sheffield city centre free, but if it was a van with the same engine it would have to pay even though they both put the same crap in the atmosphere.
