Improvised window blinds/curtains

Hi All,

We have just bought a t6.1 Kombi and have a bed for the back. ’ll be fitting some proper curtains or blinds to the van to use as an occasional place to do single nights away, but we fancy a last minute and very unplanned night away this week.

I was wondering if anyone has found any great hacks for covering the windows with household items that I can pinch ideas from before I make something up myself?

TIA,

Lee

I made up some insulating blackout from Silvered Bubble Rap I think from B&Q or similar it come is rolls. I made up patterns and just cut out the shapes. Very Good at keeping out the heat of the day and the vehicle warmer at night. Also keeps the early morning sunlight out and prevents the Light House Effect when sitting up at night in the cooler or colder months. Cheep as chips where and easy to do. A larger front windscreen cover is a good purchase covers front screen and front door windows. I attached silvered Bubble Rap to the inside surface of that and is good at keeping ice off the screens and privacy also.

I am same. No curtains yet so I got three sheets of corugated floor protector from wickes, pressed up against rear internal window edge to get an impresion and then cut out slightly wider, squeezes in and stays quite well. A magnet or two helps. Makes for a good black out for the rears. Combined that with a tension rod across the front seats with a black throw over it.

I failed to make sure all the writing was facng in when I did it tho so had to use black gaffa tabe to hide the writing through the windows hehe

We have these lightweight towels that we use on hols and used to stick them on using high powered little magnets from our kitchen message board.
