Thanks for that - it makes sense of what I'm seeing. The danger of dropping the cut off point that low is that you might forget to set it back up when stopped. 12.2V is below the usual resting voltage of a battery, even at 80%.So you need to adjust your dcdc settings by small steps down.... I've even been down to 12.2v for the start voltage on a long drive.
I wouldn't mind if I could run the fan on position 2 - I usually do that anyway, but I have to turn mine up to 6 to get the voltage up & can only drop it to 5 before it falls off again. Makes for a noisy drive - not to mention inefficient.
