I’d really like to learn how to do some simple electrical mods to my T6.
First thing I’d like to attempt is to add some ambient lighting to the footwell in the t6... followed by ambient lighting in the door cards....
...but I don’t know where to start!
I’m presuming I need some 12v led strip lights. Was going to go for a single colour {red). So something like this...

Do I need an led driver or is it simply a case of wiring it up to a suitable circuit?
In terms of wiring it up, what are my options?
Do I wire the led strips together (in series or parallel?) to a specific 12v supply for the +ve and an earthing point for the -ve?
What’s physically the best way of joining the wires (my soldering skills are crap so I’d rather avoid that)?
and equally, what’s the best way of connecting them/ splicing them into the van’s wiring.
Very basic questions, but I’m keen to learn if you can be patient with me!
