I picked my lovely Kombi up yesterday, went for a spin with the kids and going down the motorway a poxy stone hit my windscreen!!
No chip but a scratch about an inch long, I feel like crying!! Bas####!!!!!

I've been doing some research and apparently scratches can sometimes be polished out, there is a chap close to me that does this very thing. I shall ring him tomorrow, worth a go I suppose.

I know that feeling only too well. Had my van about 16 hours and got my screen chipped by a twonk who just had to overtake me, doing 50 on a 50mph single carriageway country road. Had to pay to get it repaired.

I too used to get really knarcked every time a stone hit the van, had her 12 months now and approaching 10k mileage, 4 bonnet chips, 2 windscreen chips and the sportline front spoiler looks like the night sky, stopped getting stressed about it as I enjoy driving it too much and it's all repairable, just sit back and cruise along while all the other drivers look at you with envy wishing they had one

Give it a few weeks and the pain subsides. It is a vehicle and it is going to get battle scarred. Use it and enjoy it. I can guarantee that another ding is just around the corner.

I can beat that, my screen was delivered with a 12 inch half moon shaped scratch on the inside of the window and am now in an argument with them as they say ‘we cant say of it was or wasnt their on delivery’ - Im currently pointing out that at what point would I need to clean the inside of my window within the first 24 hours for me to cause it lol

Same here. 4 days old and on the M6 to Scotland and Bam! A fu*k*g stone hit the passenger rear sliding door right in the middle. Sounded like a gunshot.

Nice 3 pointed star chip in the new black paint....

Never had it before. Shit.
