How does the van stay level when loaded and unloaded with Air

How does the van stay level when loaded and unloaded? Is there auto leveling sensors fitted?

havent got air myself . . . .

but yes, front and rear axles have ridge height sensors so the van can self level. (if you have the air managment system)

if not and you just have the air bags then height can be adjusted with a small pump manually at each corner

Yes sensors are fitted to the lower arms and this sensor tells the management what to do. As Dellmassive has said though some kits are just pressure based not height based.
