How do i know if i have any outstanding software updates

Quick question?

Seen a few posts about software updates for AdBlue and various other things
Just wondering, how i can tell or is there a way to tell if my van is missing any available software / firmware updates of any description (besides trying to see if a main dealer can do this)

It`s a 2018 T6 T32 SWB Highline Kombi (does that help)
That app looks to relate to DPF. I'm looking at the van in general, software updates

That still looks like it shows current software version etc but not if any new or outstanding updates are available for the van. I`ll speak with VW. cheers

Yes as above the circled details the engine ECU firmware version.

There is a more recent firmware version number that Volkswagen have for this engine that deals with AdBlue issues.

My van has s only ever been serviced with Volkswagen and so far they haven't applied the updated firmware.

Which for me is a good thing as the newer firmware uses twice the amount of ad blue, so I'm more than happy to have my van stay on its current version.

VW will check for any outstanding updates when the van's in with them, you can also specifically ask them if there's any outstanding updates for your VIN number.

In my experience having the latest firmware version is not necessarily a good thing... Not just on these vans but in life in general.
