Horizon pop top

Pretty sure that all pop top roofs creak; canvas, roof seal, bed board or bed board hinge. Eventually you’ll find away to resolve it, just a pity the converters can’t be arsed.
Just pretend your on an old sailing ship listening to the rigging.
I've not spoken to my converters about the creaks, as the creaks aren't that bad and some are expected (as you've mentioned). My converters were awesome, and have always given an excellent service

Just saying that little things like correctly aligning the bed board, fitting some rubber cushions or using a better quality piano hinge don’t really take anymore time or significant cost. We love our campers but we shouldn’t lose sight of the cost / quality.

I’ve never experienced any real creaking with my horizon roof. Usually my wife and I ensure that the canvas is tucked in completely and nothing trapped before engaging the catch and inserting the screws. It’s definitely easier with two of you so one can keep an eye from the outside to ensure no material gets trapped. It’s also definitely easier when warm and the canvas is more supple as it makes it easier to get tucked away neatly and the sliding cover back in place.

I’m still more than happy with how my roof performs and how it was installed and luckily haven’t experienced any problems to date

I had my horizon roof fitted earlier this year, one of the new spec material ones, and it’s pretty creaky. I’ve had it back in to try and improve this which some different and additional seals has helped with, but not really to the level I’d expect for the cost of this roof. What’s more disappointing is the two large indentations I get in the external roof surface when tightening up the front fixings - has anyone else who’s had a horizon roof fitted this year also got this issue, and had any luck in fixing it?
