High Revs At Idle, Not A Regen

I’ve noticed my van holding its revs at close to 1k today at idle, and it’s it not regen’ing. we are seeing warm weather with temps of roughly 25 degrees, is this normal? (The idling, not the weather!).

If you have the AC switched on that raises the revs, to keep the AC compressor happy and also it switches on the fans to draw air over the rad pack.

How do you know it's not doing a regen?

Are you using an app? Like VAG DPF?

If you have a higher electrical load that will also raise the revs.

Say for example fan blower speed of two or above,

or front lights or any other high electrical demand will raise the revs proportionately to make the demand.
